Frank Johnson, a well known colored man, died at his home in this city Sunday night at 12 o’clock, after a long illness and was buried in the Townsend graveyard Monday afternoon. Johnson was between 60 and 65 years of age. (The Covington Leader, Thursday, September 27, 1917)
