Mr. T. W. Brown, an aged citizen of the Drummonds neighborhood and an ex-Confederate veteran, whose illness was mentioned in these columns last week, died Sunday and his burial occurred at Poplar Grove on the day following. Mrs. Sallie Boswell died at her home near Poplar Grove, in the 5th district, Monday, and was buried at Poplar Grove graveyard Sunday. Mrs. Boswell was one of the oldest citizens of the county, being ninety-odd years of age. She leaves surviving her four children. (The Covington Leader, September 13, 1901)
