Mary Frances Baskin, little eight-year-old daughter of Mr. William Baskin, of the Burlison vicinity, died Saturday morning of measles and pneumonia, after an illness of three weeks, and was buried Sunday at 12 o’clock, in the Smyrna burial ground, the funeral services being conducted by Rev. L. P. Fleming. The child’s mother, Mrs. Josephine Baskin, was buried there on Wednesday of last week. (The Covington Leader, 2/7/1918)
