Oct. 25, 1977 – July 12, 1979 – Crash Claims Toddler’s Life – Jonathan Ray Baskins, 21 month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Baskins of Burlison, Tenn, died at 2:25 p.m. yesterday at Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center of injuries received in a traffic accident. A Tennessee Highway Patrol spokesman said the child was injured in a collision between a car and a pickup truck at Baskin Road and Tennessee 59 West near Burlison at 11 a.m. Monday. Details of the accident were sketchy. The youngster was taken first to Tipton County Memorial Hospital in Covington, Tenn., then transferred to Le Bonheur at 4:30 p.m. Monday. Services will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Maley Funeral Home in Covington with burial in Shiloh Cemetery near Covington. He also leaves a sister, Jennifer Rae Baskins, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Bradshaw of Burlison and Mrs. Herbert L.
