Adams Dies in Electric Chair
Tucker Prison Farm, Ark. (AP) – Ben Adams, 46, Tipton county, Tennessee, dies in the electric chair at sunrise Friday for the holdup slaying of Arthur Bowie, Augusta liquor store operator on May 17, 1941.
Prison officials said he went to his death calmly.
During the night he talked with Mississippi and Memphis officers who were seeking information on two unsolved killings but prison spokesmen said the condemned man apparently was not able to shed any light on the cases.
